Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

Nova TV is a media player application for LG webOS televisions, published by Nova TV (“we”). This policy explains what the app and this website do with data. The short version: Nova TV runs on your TV, your playlist credentials stay on your TV, and we don’t know what you watch.

What the app stores on your TV

Your playlist logins or links, favourites, watch progress, settings and parental-control PIN are stored only on the TV, in the app’s own storage. They are never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.

What is sent to our servers

These servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, time, request) for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting. We do not use analytics, advertising identifiers or tracking in the app.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive the order confirmation, the email address you give Stripe and the last four digits of your card; we never see your full card number. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to the checkout. We keep purchase records as required by tax law.

Content

Nova TV does not provide, host or index any television or video content. It plays the playlist you add, which comes from a provider you choose. Your relationship with that provider, and the data it may collect when the TV connects to its servers, is governed by that provider’s terms, not ours.

Children

The app offers parental controls so adults can restrict access to certain groups. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

Residents of Canada, the EU/UK and California can ask us what data we hold about a device or purchase, and ask for its deletion. Write to support@novatv.dev with your activation code or order email.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
